Leader: Suzy Sykes
Hi, I am Suzy and I have the blessing of directing Noah's Ark Preschool and ChildCareCenter, located across from our WorshipCenter. It is a ministry that opened in March of 1996. We are open Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We enroll: infants up to 12 yrs. old. Morning preschool classes for ages: 2 – 5 yrs. Preschool curriculum is the A Beka Book, which includes: phonics, number skills, learning games, Bible stories and songs.
Daycare program is all day with a morning and after school program for latch-key children. Our summer program for latch-key includes, many outside activities and fieldtrips.
Annual inspections are made by the Missouri Department of Health and Sanitation, the Missouri Department of Safety and the Fire Marshall.
Noah' Ark provides a well-trained and loving staff to care for the children. With God as our director, our goal is to teach the promises of God and his love in a safe; structured environment. Our goal also is to encourage through creativity and nuture self-confidence, developing good social skills by having genuine respect for others.
Noah's Ark Update
We are in the midst of transition as we are doing our yearly promotion and moving several children up into the next class. It is always challenging when you have new kids in class and our teachers need some extra prayer.
I ask that you pray for more children. I have been working for some time with the state and I can now add up to seven children to my toddler area. I am hoping to keep that space full at all times.
We will also be working towards preparing the children for their graduation which will be the first of May, and it will be here before you know it. It is such a blessing to watch little ones learning and growing everyday.
Many of these children are learning about god for the first time and so please pray that we will always keep Jesus at the forefront of every thing and every decision that we make here, that Jesus will show himself through us everyday! Pray God will rain down his blessings on this ministry and all ministries of Oak Grove.
One of my favorite verses is in Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 — 4He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. 5As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. 6In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
We can’t know and may never see results of our efforts, but God does and He expects us to give our best and let Him do the rest. May I remember that more each day!
